In 1953, Finn Juhl designed the 53 Sofa, which was originally made by the Danish master carver Niels Vodder. Since 2020, the sofa is back in production by House of Finn Juhl and has become one of the most sought-after pieces of Finn Juhl furniture. The sofa has a sculptural expression characterized by the light frame that wraps around the upholstery, giving the impression that it is almost floating. The sofa has an elegant design that embraces the sitter and ensures maximum comfort. The rear legs are completely free from the upholstery and protrude from the floor, in a single movement the frame changes direction and extends into the armrest of the sofa with its lively shape.
53 Sofa comes with a wooden frame made of solid oak or walnut and is upholstered in textile. The sofa is available in a variety of finishes, making it suitable for many different interiors. With its unique design, the 53 Sofa appears beautiful from any angle. Place it as a stand-alone piece in your living room or in the lounge area of a hotel or corporate environment.
