The goal with HAY's Pyramid Bench was to produce a bench that is both flexible and robust, with a design that is functional and aesthetically pleasing. The Pyramid Bench, along with the Pyramid Table and Result Chair, were originally created by Friso Kramer and Wim Rietveld during the 1950s, when they were employed by Ahrend. When first launched in the 50s, these pieces of furniture were received as groundbreaking for their time, with their clear and distinct lines and the use of different materials. In modern times, Danish HAY in collaboration with Ahrend has reintroduced the bench, table and chair.
