Fritz Hansen's chair Series 7 comes here as a bar stool with full upholstery in two sizes, model 3187 and 3197. The Series 7 was designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1955 and over the years has become Fritz Hansen's best-selling chair and a favored design icon worldwide. The Series 7 bar stool follows the same design as the original but has extra high legs with footrest.
The shell is created in one piece, consisting of nine layers of veneer layered with two layers of Indian cotton and pressed into its proper shape over steam. This has given the Series 7 its thin and stylish shell. The backrest can also be reclined, adding to the elevated level of comfort. For this version, the shell is also fully upholstered, and several leathers are available to choose from. The legs are made of chromed steel.
The Series 7 has become Fritz Hansen's best-selling chair by far throughout history and although over 60 years have passed since its launch, the design still feels innovative thanks to Jacobsen's timeless style. Nordiska Galleriet was the first retailer of Series 7 in Sweden, and the chair is still our best-selling piece of furniture today. The popularity of Series 7 is a testament to its iconic status, bringing together form, function, and modern design history to make it both a design icon and a favorite with us. Series 7 is available as a dining chair, office chair, bar stool, armchair and in children's sizes. Choose from a range of natural veneers, stained ash, or stained beech in a wide selection of colors. The bar stool is available with or without upholstery.
