PK52, also known as the Professor Desk, was designed in 1955 by Poul Kjærholm when the art academy needed to replace its old desks. Today, the desk is produced by the Danish company Carl Hansen & Søn. This particular model with generous dimensions was developed for the professors, which over time gave rise to the table's nickname. At the same time, the designer created the smaller model PK52A, which instead became known as the Student Desk. You can also find this model in our online store.

With us, you can purchase your PK52 Professor Desk with a black-lacquered steel frame, which you then combine with a tabletop in laminated wood with oak veneer, available with a clear-lacquered, oiled, black-lacquered, or white-lacquered finish. The accompanying drawer module, PK115, is available for separate purchase in the same finishes and can be mounted on both the left and right side of the desk.
