Drop is a series of bookcases created by Nendo for the Italian brand Cappellini. The bookcase is made of lacquered metal in three different heights and is available in a variety of colors. The shelf is designed as a block, with the last block on top rotated and placed on the edge for a striking look. The colors of the Drop are carefully selected and take their inspiration from natural elements, which remind Nendo of the flowers of the cool sea to the warm green stones found in the bays of Japan.
Nendo is a design studio founded by architect Oki Sato in 2002. The name Nendo means clay in Japanese which represents the design studio's vision, their work should be as smooth and flexible as clay. Nendo studio has already received numerous international credits.
