The Bonsai Sofa Metal Base is part of the Bonsai series created by the design trio Claesson Koivisto Rune for the Arflex brand in 2016. The furniture included in the series is distinguished by modern design inspired by Japanese culture and esthetics.

Bonsai Sofa Metal Base consists of a seat cushion and a backrest with soft, asymmetrical shapes reminiscent of the well-trimmed, cloud-like bushes found in Japanese wooden gardens. The black lacquered metal base creates a contrast that gives an attractive and unique look. A wide variety of fabrics and leather in different colors are available.
