The Sfrido potato peeler is designed by Valerio Sommella and part of the Objects Bijoux collection for the Italian brand Alessi. Sfrido means trash in Italian and is a reference to the waste created when using it. Sfrido is made of stainless steel and has soft shapes and curves that make it comfortable to grip and work with.

The inspiration behind Sfrido comes from the story of Sigurd, who with his sharp sword could split an anvil and a dragon in two.
