Taraxacum 1 is a ceiling lamp designed in 1988 by Achille Castiglioni for Flos. Manufactured from an internal structure in powder-coated steel, coated with cocoon-like resin. Taraxacum 1 is part of the Taraxacum series, which also includes Taraxacum 88 C/W, 88 and 2.
The name Taraxacum is the scientific name for dandelion, which the shape of the lamp mimics. Normally, the dandelion is considered a weed, but here it takes shape in a beautiful lamp and suddenly stands for something new and innovative.
