Basel is a sofa designed by Mats Broberg & Johan Ridderstråle for Adea. The sofa was given the working title "wine of the house" and the aim was to design a sofa without big gestures but with a more refined sense of form, proportions and comfort. Basel has an understated and sophisticated style that works well in most homes and interiors.
The proportions of the sofa and details such as the neat legs give the impression of a classic sofa with an understated elegance. Basel is available in several different fabrics & leathers. The fabric upholstery is removable, which makes it easy to care for and makes it possible to change the upholstery according to the season. The base, which is made of aluminium, can be polished or painted black.
