WaterRower furniture

The WaterRower brand was founded in 1988 by John Duke in Rhode Island, USA. He wanted to create an exercise tool that would give the feeling of rowing in real water. Thanks to the "Waterflywheel" it contributes to a peaceful feeling during the workout and the rowing machine becomes the perfect training tool for both fitness enthusiasts and on-water rowers.

The company quickly becomes well established and in 2005 welcomes the company NOHrD to their manufacturing facility and together they begin producing additional high quality exercise equipment. WaterRower and NOHrD manufacture all of their products by hand, creating a precision and quality that is hard to beat.

Exercise equipment with a focus on design and quality

Fine craftsmanship and high-quality wood create unique products that acquire an elegant patina over time. The brand attaches great importance to using all bark and therefore has no waste. One of the main characteristics of the wood is that it absorbs vibrations and sounds. This makes the sound from the machines quieter and smoother during the workout compared to other exercise machines.

In 2013, the NOHrD SlimBeam product is introduced to the fitness industry. Shortly thereafter, it receives the German PlusX award for quality, high level of functionality and sophisticated design. The WaterRower rowing machine, which also becomes the only piece of sports equipment to be exhibited at the Design Museum of London, receives the same award.
