Eames RE Plastic Armchair LAR is a low lounge chair designed in 1950 by Charles Ray Eames. The plastic seat is mounted on a black lacquered steel base with the characteristic look of the Eames RE Plastic Chair. The seat is available in a number of colors.
The Eames couples multifunctional Plastic Chairs were introduced for the first time in the Low Cost Furniture Design competition held at the Museum of Modern Art in New York in 1950. Charles Ray presented organically designed plastic chair seats combined with different bases, giving these seats a variety of functions and purposes. Today, the legendary Eames RE Plastic Chairs are manufactured by Vitra, which has revised the design and materials of the models for even greater seating comfort and quality. The Eames RE Plastic Armchair LAR is also available in a classic version.
In 2019, Vitra launches ten new colors for the Eames RE Plastic Chairs, available from Nordiska Galleriet always with a price guarantee.
