Inspired by Gerrit Rietveld's Zig Zag chair from the 1930s, Verner Panton designed the now-iconic Panton Chair dining chair, which has evolved into the next generation chair, System 1-2-3 Lounge. This covered lounge chair was designed in 1973, also by Verner Panton, upholstered in VOSS foam, covered in Kvadrat fabric with an aluminum base.System 1-2-3 Lounge comes from the System collection, which consists of dining chairs, lounge chairs, and a mirror and a clothes rack. The S-shaped lounge chair is available in a choice of fabrics by Kvadrat with a round or butterfly base.
