Silphium is a perfume from the Stora Skuggan brand. It has top notes of silphium and cistros and middle notes of cinnamon, tobacco, black pepper, ginger, geranium and clove. The perfume's base notes are incense, cedarwood, myrrh and lily. The product is vegan and handmade in Stockholm.

The inspiration for Silphium comes from the wine of the same name. It was grown in Cyrene, now Lebanon, and was highly praised as a spice, medicine and perfume by Greek philosophers and Roman emperors. Despite countless attempts to cultivate the plant, no one succeeded, and it became the most prized spice in the world. The high demand eventually drove the spice to extinction and the fragrance was lost. By carefully researching the living vessles of Silphium, the Great Shadow has been able to recover the unique scent of this historic vessil.
