The Platner Low Table was designed by Warren Platner for Knoll in 1962. The gold-plated version was introduced in 2015 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Platner collection. The coffee table has a base made of multiple bent and welded steel rods, which generate a marble effect, unique to the Platner collection. All metal components are gold-plated in 18-carat gold and covered with a transparent protective lacquer coating. The table top is circular and available in a variety of materials, including tempered glass, marble, or wood. The Platner Coffee Table pairs well with the Platner Lounge Chair from the same series by Knoll.
