The Crate Dining Bench, originally designed by Gerrit Rietveld in 1934, is brought back to life through a collaboration between Rietveld Originals and the Danish furniture brand HAY. Created to reuse wood from shipping crates, this bench is designed with great respect for the original design's balanced proportions and transparent construction. With a gently sloping back and seat and supportive armrests, the classic design offers both functionality and comfort, in line with Rietveld's architectural principles of maximizing space efficiency. Made of solid pine with a water-based varnish, the bench combines durability with a timeless design language.
