Gaggenau

Gaggenau is a German brand that manufactures appliances of high quality and timeless design. Their journey began in 1683 on the edge of the Black Forest, when the noble margrave Ludwig Wilhelm von Baden started a smelting plant in Rotenfels and a hammer mill and nail forge in Gaggenau. This was to help save the community from poverty.

In addition to making agricultural machinery and nails, their industry developed into making durable advertising signs. Thanks to this, Gaggenau’s robust oven enamel emerged, which they use today for many of their iconic products. In 1956, Georg von Blanquet took over the business from his father and laid the foundations for the fitted kitchen revolution.

Craftsmanship in the spotlight

Gaggenau’s craftsmanship is as significant to them today as it was 300 years ago, while using the latest technology. The TFT touch-screen panels are handmade in their factory in Lipsheim, as are their classic 90 cm ovens which have been handmade for over 30 years. Gaggenau also works with professional chefs to gain knowledge of what is required for effective, focused, and efficient cooking.
