Fritz Hansen's best-selling Sjuan, or Series 7, was designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1955 and comes here as a desk chair. 3117 Sjuan follows the same design as the original, 3107, but the legs have been replaced by a chrome-plated height-adjustable base on wheels.

The Sjuan is based on the same innovative manufacturing process as Jacobsen's classic Myran chair. The seat and backrest are created in one piece, consisting of nine layers of veneer layered with two layers of Indian cotton and pressed into its correct shape over steam. This has given the chair its thin and elegant shell, the backrest can also be folded down, which contributes to the high comfort. In this model of the 3117 Sjuan, the shell is completely upholstered, which provides an extra soft and comfortable seat. A wide selection of textiles and leathers is available to choose from.

The Sjuan has become Fritz Hansen's best-selling chair of all time and has been launched in a number of different designs.
