Chouchin 1 is a pendant light created by Ionna Vautrin for Foscarini in 2011. It is made of lacquered handblown glass and comes in a warm orange. The lacquered surface completely blocks out light, providing a direct and directional light from the underside. Available with On/Off switch or with dimmable LED lamp in On-off, Push, or DALI versions. You can also choose a model with an extra-long cable for rooms with high ceilings.

Chouchin is a series with several ceiling pendants that work well on their own or together in a group. Ionna Vautrin drew inspiration for the design from the traditional Japanese paper and bamboo lanterns that are often displayed outside homes and restaurants as signs or good luck charms.
