Patented Coravin™ technology

Coravin offers a wide range of wine accessories such as advanced wine openers and screw caps that allow you to drink what you want without compromising. With patented Coravin™ technology, a thin needle penetrates the wine cork and then injects a noble gas, argon, which is odorless and tasteless. The gas does not react with the wine but creates an overpressure that allows the wine to flow out of the thin needle. So you can enjoy a glass of wine without even opening the bottle. After the needle is removed, the hole expands and the cork returns to its normal shape. Oxygen never comes into contact with the wine in the bottle, which retains its flavour. The needle in the Coravin system is deliberately placed unevenly so that the needle never enters the same place.

The company's screw cap has a similar function to the wine opener, but is adapted for wine bottles with screw caps. Compatible with 95 percent of all wine bottles, Coravin screw caps seal and preserve wine for up to three months. Store horizontally for best results and can be punctured 50 times.
