Tokyo Dormeuse is an exclusive daybed designed by designer Charlotte Perriand for the Italian brand Cassina. The day bed is made of solid teak which is combined with a cushion and neck pillow in a light leather. The idea for the day bed emerged during one of Perriand's years in Japan, specifically 1940, where she was inspired by the Japanese nature and cultural traditions. Since 2011, the Tokyo Dormeuse has been manufactured by Cassina, and is only sold in a limited edition of 50 pieces. The daybed is an ideal example of contemporary design where comfort and elegance end up in perfect harmony. The exclusive type of wood conveys a warm feeling while the unique design language creates an exciting expression.
