The Classic Fern Sofa White, designed by Byarums Bruk, is a historic and classic piece of garden furniture with deep roots in the design history of the 19th century. This sofa first became famous at the first World Exhibition in London in 1851, where it was presented along with other innovations in the famous Crystal Palace exhibition hall. The fern sofa quickly became popular and a common feature in English parks and gardens, and its popularity also spread to other countries including Sweden. Byarums Bruk, now the only remaining manufacturer of this model in Sweden, has maintained the sofa's classic design and quality. The sofa has also been a favorite among gardening figures, such as Count Lennart Bernadotte, and has been delivered in large numbers to the park and castle of Mainau in southern Germany during the second half of the 20th century.
