Tizio Micro is an Italian design icon designed by Richard Sapper in 2002. The table lamp is made of aluminum and both arms and lamp head can be adjusted and balanced with counterweights. Micro indicates that the lamp is the smallest version of the classic Tizio and that it uses only 20 watts instead of the classic 50. The lamp head is molded in aluminum and has an internal high-efficiency reflector in anodized aluminum and a glass lens. This allows the Tizio to emit plenty of light, making it suitable for both reading and task lighting, as well as being a stylish feature in the home or office.
The Tizio collection includes two larger versions that come with different features such as a 360° tilting head or an integrated LED lamp and dimmer function. Richard Sapper has received several awards for Tizio and the lamp can be seen in the permanent collections of The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
