Mercury Mini is a ceiling lamp from the Mercury collection that was designed in 2007 by Ross Lovegrove for Artemide. Mercury Mini is the smaller ceiling light variant. The lamp has an eye-catching design consisting of several hanging pebbles in die-cast, polished aluminum with reflectors in thermoplastic and aluminium. The stones hang by discreet wires from an aluminum plate that illuminates them and gives the impression that they are floating in the air. The stones reflect the surroundings and each other. When switched off, the lamp is a decorative sculpture, when switched on, it is also a functional general light source. The brightness can be adjusted with a dimmer function. Light source not included for base R7s.
Ross Lovegrove has been inspired by the logic and beauty of nature. Lovegrove bases his creations on a trinity between technology, material selection and organic forms, which can be seen in the design for Mercury.
