The La Petite floor lamp was designed by Andrea Quaglio and Manuela Simonelli for Artemide. La Petite measures 160 cm in height and the aluminum stem takes off halfway in another direction where the light-weight plastic lampshade is attached. The light source emits a diffused light both directly and indirectly, which makes La Petite a good reading lamp, but it works just as well as mood lighting in the hall or bedroom.
Simonelli Quaglio himself has said that there is no symmetry in La Petite, but that there is order. He calls it a subtle harmony of elements dismantled in equilibrium at the border between light and dark. La Petite is also available as a table lamp and wall lamp, and all models are available in black and white.
