The ceiling and wall lamp Empatia is a flexible lamp from the Empatia collection that was designed in 2013 by Carlotta de Bevilacqua and Paola di Arianello. The lamp was designed for the Italian company Artemide, which was founded in Milan in 1960. With its clean design, Empatia has an artistic expression and can be placed on the wall or on the ceiling. Empatia is made of aluminium, methacrylate and blown glass and comes in three sizes. The blown glass dome encloses the light source consisting of an LED light in a transparent tube.
In designing the product, its designers have worked with the opacity of the glass, where clear glass at the innermost part of the cup smoothly transitions to less transparent further out. This creates an interesting look and emits a pleasant, soft light. The lamp includes a light source and if you wish to combine several lamps in the same series, Empatia is also available as a table lamp, floor lamp and pendant lamp.
