Bonaparte is an upholstered chair designed by Eileen Gray in 1935 and produced by ClassiCon. The frame is made of chrome-plated steel tubes that are bent in one piece, also available with a black powder-coated finish. The armchair is upholstered with polyurethane foam and fibre polyester, the upholstery on the seat and backrest is partially tightened, creating rounded shapes between the folds. Upholstery is available in a choice of several colors in leather or fabric.
Bonaparte is a modern and stylish chair that despite its thick seat cushion and backrest, gives an airy impression. Elieen Gray herself liked the chair so much that she used it for decades as her desk chair in her Paris home on Rue Bonaparte. The inspiration for the chair's name comes from this very street.
