CH78, also known as "Mama Bear", is a lounge chair designed by Hans J. Wegner for the brand Carl Hansen & Søn. The original lounge chair was first introduced in 1954 and was a development of Wegner's CH71 "Mini Bear" from 1952. The chair has solid oak legs and armrests and a solid beech seat and back, upholstered in fabric with cold foam filling. The CH78 is defined by the inviting curves that create a warm embrace. The unique aesthetic character comes from the way the legs balance the soft, rounded shapes with dynamic geometries and beautiful details, such as the wooden "claws" on the chair's armrests. CH78 is both modern and supportive as it contributes ergonomic comfort to the neck and back. A chair that encourages rest and relaxation. Feel free to complete with the accompanying neck pillow, which can be purchased separately.
We at Nordiska Galleriet have chosen to display CH78 Mama Bear in six different fabrics, if you would like a different outfit, please contact our customer service.
