Vitra's Eames Fiberglass Side Chair Turquoise is a special edition of the iconic fiberglass side chair designed by designer duo Charles and Ray Eames. The original design was already presented in 1948 at the design competition "Low Cost Furniture Design" held at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. It was then one of the first chairs with a seat shell created in a single piece. Thanks to the innovative design language, the chair has become one of the most significant design works of the 20th century and was launched in a range of different colours. This exciting finish, Turquoise, was never a standard color but was reserved for orders exceeding 200 chairs and is therefore difficult to find on the vintage market today.
The Eames Fiberglass Side Chair Turquoise is only available in a limited edition of a total of 500 copies. The chair is sold exclusively at Nordiska Galleriet.
