Thomas Eriksson

Thomas Eriksson is a prominent Swedish designer, known for his innovative and functional design. With a career spanning several decades, Eriksson has become a central figure in Swedish and international design. Thomas Eriksson 1959 

Thomas Eriksson was born in 1959 in Stockholm and developed an early interest in design and architecture. After studying at Konstfack in Stockholm and later at the Royal College of Art in London, he founded his own design studio. Over the years, Eriksson has worked with several well-known brands and has contributed to shaping the modern Swedish design landscape. 

His design philosophy is based on creating timeless and durable products that can be integrated into various environments. By using high-quality materials and innovative techniques, Eriksson has developed a unique style characterized by clean lines and a minimalist aesthetic. 

Collaborations with Well-Known Brands 

In 1992, Thomas Eriksson designed the sleek medical cabinet Cross for the Italian design brand Cappellini. Cross is made of laser-cut metal and comes in three lacquered colors: red, green, and white. The cabinets are shaped like crosses, inspired by the classic medical cross, and are equipped with a magnetic lock. With its playful appearance, Cross is a perfect addition to bathroom decor. 

In 2006, Eriksson also designed the dining table Bermuda for ASPLUND Collection. The tabletop is made of white laminate with polyurethane-coated edges and underside to ensure long-lasting durability. The legs are constructed of metal and have a lacquered finish to give a modern feel. Manufactured with precision in Sweden, Bermuda was awarded and recognized by Elle Decoration in 2007. 

Through his collaborations with Cappellini and Asplund, Thomas Eriksson has demonstrated his versatility and ability to create designs that are both timeless and innovative. These works have cemented his position as one of the most influential designers in Sweden, and his contributions to the design world continue to be appreciated globally.
