For over 140 years, Rosenthal has been synonymous with German quality and innovation in porcelain manufacturing. Philipp Rosenthal embarked on a journey to America at the age of seventeen, where he began his career as a dishwasher and later advanced to selling porcelain. Returning to Germany in 1879, filled with drive and enthusiasm, he established his business by founding a porcelain painting company at Erkersreuth Castle in Selb. In 1891, Philipp Rosenthal decided to start producing his own porcelain.
