The unique Nuvola Pendant ceiling lamp was designed back in 1974 by Mario Bellini and is today produced by the Italian lighting company Nemo Lighting. The basic idea of the pendant lamp's design was to spread a unique light. By using polyethylene and a shape similar to a cloud, Bellini succeeded in creating a lamp that still looks modern today, even though almost 50 years have passed. The ceiling lamp has the ability to illuminate large areas while being decorative. Nuvola Pendant has a white finish and is dimmable if the right type of light sources is used. It hovers suspended from the ceiling and it is easy to understand where the name Nuvola comes from (Italian for cloud).
