Mario Bellini is an internationally recognised designer and architect from Italy, who has received numerous awards for his designs and has been a Royal Honorary Designer of RDI since 1991. Bellini has won the Golden Compass Award 8 times and 25 of his products are represented in the permanent exhibition at MoMA in New York.
In 2015, he was honoured with a gold medal by the Triennale di Milano, which also held an exhibition dedicated to Mario Bellini's designs in 2017. Over the years, he has designed countless pieces of furniture, buildings and art installations around the world. One of the latter is the creation of the entire Giotto installation at the Royal Palace in Milan.
Mario Bellini started his career as an architect in 1959 and began designing furniture in 1963. His early chairs were created for the major Italian furniture companies B&B Italia and Cassina, some of the most famous of which are the Le Bambole '07 lounge furniture series and the Cab Chair from 1979, which are real favourites at NO GA. The successor to the Cab Chair - Cab Sofa was also a great success on the international market. One of Bellini's more recent products is the Bolt Table from 2017, where he used architectural construction to create the unique metal base.
