Pao Steel Pendant 230 is a pendant lamp from the Danish brand HAY and is an exciting new collaboration with designer Naoto Fukasawa. The lamp is made of pressed steel in a high gloss white spray finish that is easy to clean and comes in the colors Soft Black, Cream White, Red and Cool Grey. The diffuser is made of injection moulded opalescent acrylic (PMMA). Thanks to it, the lamp has no visible features and fittings on the surface, creating a sober, clean aesthetic. The lamp comes with a 4 metre long flexible fabric cable with silicone insulation.

The lamps in the Pao series are characterised by Fukasawa's "super normal" aesthetic of beautiful simplicity, allowing everyday objects to take their place in the world of design. The inspiration for the Pao Steel Pendant 230 comes from a trip to Mongolia, where traditional nomadic life, known as "yurt" or "pao" in Japanese, lit up the landscape during the nights. Fukasawa was drawn to the glowing form that created a sense of comfort, warmth and the security of home. Pao Steel Pendant 230 emits a warm, directional light. The lamp is also available in Pao Steel Pendant 350 and Pao Steel Pendant 470. The collection also includes a pendant lamp in TV sizes and a glass table lamp.
