Brim is an ambient pendant lamp with a colored pressed glass shade, inspired by classic glass pendants from past times. The familiar light typology has been updated with new materials and construction to optimize function while retaining the pendant’s timeless aesthetics. The internal sphere conceals the bulbs, surrounded by a distinctive fluted glass shade that enhances light diffusion. Brim’s compact size makes it ideal for hanging in clusters, as well as on its own in smaller spaces such as hallways or over counters. Portuguese designer Rui Pereira and Japanese designer Ryosuke Fukusada collaborate on projects that tap into their respective cultures to create new and unexpected design experiences. Their work focuses on creating long-lasting products that can be passed from generation to generation, encapsulating experiences and feelings along the way.
