The Chandelier is a drop-in chandelier designed in 2004 by David Chipperfield for FontanaArte. Chandelier has 18 candleholders in sandblasted borosilicate glass. The round frame is made of metal and is available with a flat surface in gray or black aluminum. The chandelier becomes the focal point of a room and spreads a beautiful light in both large halls and smaller lounges. Chandelier is also available as Chandelier Double. As the name suggests, the Double consists of an additional round frame filled with candlesticks.
David Chipperfield has taken inspiration for the lamp from the chandeliers in King Arthur's Castle. Today, Chipperfield's Chandelier can be found in many grand buildings around the world. Among them is the Cathedral of St Elie in Beirut.
