We welcome our magazine Edit, offering 116 pages of interior design and inspiration.
Edit is a magazine about interior design, creativity, and the people behind it. In issue 01, we visit designer Ana Kraš and rapper and artist Silvana Imam in their homes. We discuss interiors with Studio Escapist, living spaces with architect Thomas Sandell, and the Italian fashion stylist Robert Rabensteiner has created a still life with furniture that currently inspires him. "I grew up with deaf parents in a family where sight was more important than words. I learned to appreciate beauty, and it remains my driving force today," he says in an interview in Edit. Among his selections in the still life, photographed by Boo George, are the Felt Chair by Mark Newson and the Platner Side Chair from Knoll.
We also visit architect Andreas Martin-Löf, who, ten years after building his renowned summer house in Aspvik, has constructed a two-story "treehouse" to accommodate more guests. "I’ve thought of it a bit like following up a hit. Success brings certain pressure for the next release," says Andreas.
We also drop by designer Mats Theselius’ studio and home in Skåne. He shares insights into his brand Nya Manufaktur, which produces his own objects, including the limited and signed Atlas lighting series.
"It’s both fun and meaningful to take on the role of producer sometimes. You learn a lot from it," says Mats. "I’m generally interested in the entire production process - from small screws and bolts to the bigger picture."
The interior magazine Edit is published by TNE Publishing for Nordiska Galleriet. The next issue will be launched during the furniture fair in Milan this April.
The iconic Orchestra Chair was originally designed in 1931 by the Swedish architect Sven Markelius, and is now launched by NO GA in close collaboration with the Markelius family. At the same time NO GA also lunch the dining table Nockeby, designed by Markelius for his own house in 1930.
