In The Sun 190 Pendant is a pendant lamp designed by the designer duo Dominique Perrault and Gaëlle Lauriot-Prévost for DCW éditions. The lamp has a frame of steel and aluminum with a finish in either gold or silver. In The Sun 190 Pendant has a glass dome and a screen consisting of a stainless steel or brass mesh that contributes to a truly unique lighting experience.
In connection with the renovation of the Pavillion Dufour at the world-famous Palace of Versailles, designers Dominique Perrault and Gaëlle Lauriot-Prévost wanted to create a series of lamps as an homage to Louis XIV, also known as the Sun King. In addition to the In The Sun 190 Pendant, the series also consists of pendant lamps in two larger versions, table lamps and wall lamps. All lamps are characterized by festive shades in gold and silver. The result is a series of lamps that all contribute a very special, almost magical, atmosphere to the home.
