The LC14 Tabouret Maison du Brésil from Cassina was created by the world-famous designer Le Corbusier, one of the most important names in functionalism. The original chestnut wood stool, LC14 Tabouret Cabanon, was designed in 1952 for Le Corbusier's small house on the French Riviera, where all the furniture was shaped like a box. The LC14 Tabouret stool Maison du Brésil is a later version of the original Cabanon stool.

Maison du Brésil was designed in 1959 for the Maison du Brésil at the Cité International University in Paris, is made of oak and is slightly smaller in size than Cabanon. The stool can easily be transformed by standing on end. Each side is provided with a hole that makes it easy to move and turn around and use as a stool as well as a small table. Le Corbusier's uncomplicated design makes it suitable for most settings and a feature that makes a statement in the room.
