The CH07 Shell Chair Anniversary Edition from Carl Hansen & Søn is designed by Hans J. Wegner. The chair was first introduced in 1963 at the Cabinetmakers' Autumn Exhibition in Copenhagen. It was considered revolutionary and avant-garde at the time. It wasn't until 35 years later that the chair gained today's great popularity and recognition. It is characterized by its graphic design language and high comfort. The wing-like seat gives the chair a floating lightness, and to provide stability, it has a distinctive double underframe that is equally elegant from all angles.
To celebrate the 60th anniversary of this chair, Carl Hansen & Søn presents this exclusive version made in rosewood and oak. On the back, there is a brass plate with Hans J. Wegner's signature engraved.
