Proust Geometrica is an armchair designed by Alessandro Mendini for Italian Cappellini in 2009. The structure of the armchair is made of a wooden frame in birch with an upholstery of a multicolored fabric. The fabric is padded with cold foam that helps preserve the soft shape and contributes to the high level of comfort that the armchair has. The armchair is only available in this version.
Proust Geometrica was originally created in 1978 by the Palazzo dei Diamanti in Ferrara which was immediately recognized as one of the most famous and important reference points in the pursuit of aesthetic perfection. In 2009, the design was recreated with hand-painted upholstery on a hand-cut wooden frame, the model pictured above. Today, the armchair is a modern object that has retained the integrity of the original design, becoming an iconic feature of the home.No reviews
