The popular Tobi-Ishi dining table from B&B Italia comes here as a coffee table, created by Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby in 2014. The Tobi-Ishi coffee table follows the same design language as the dining table. The board has a rounded rectangular shape and consists of oak veneers, the characteristic underlay of solid oak. The design's organic, simplistic shapes make the Tobi-Ishi coffee table an elegant feature in the living room, consisting of three large blocks that together form a harmonious whole. The duo behind Tobi-Ishi are big fans of Japanese culture and art, the design is clearly inspired by Zen. Both the name of the table and the concept behind it come from the round stones used for ornaments in classic Zen gardens, where the stones are precisely called Tobi-Ishi.
