The classic Chair 65 was created by Alvar Aalto in 1935 for the Finnish furniture manufacturer Artek. It is still a timeless icon and as modern now as it was then. The chair, like many of his other pieces of furniture and work, has become part of the collection of the Modern Museum of Arts in New York. As in many other pieces of furniture by Alvar Aalto, his signature is clearly visible in the slightly curved L-shaped legs that are attached to the back.
Chair 65 is made of molded birch and is available in a wide variety of colors for the seat and back. Choose from natural birch, white laminate, or black linoleum. For other finishes, please contact customer service.
