Piero Lissoni 1956

Piero Lissoni blev født i 1956 og er en italiensk arkitekt, der arbejder. Som mange andre berømte italienske arkitekter og møbeldesignere studerede Lissoni på det polytekniske universitet i Milano. I 1986, et år efter sin eksamen, oprettede han sit eget designstudio for industrielt design, indretning og grafisk design.

Lissonis designprincip er aldrig at designe til en separat person eller funktion, men at designe for mennesker.

Piero Lissonis design og styling er meget præcis, og han bruger ofte rene linjer. Derfor minder hans design mere om skandinaviske designere end om deres italienske kolleger. Hans designs er ofte totaldesigns, dvs. interiør og arkitektur i fuld skala af bl.a. hoteller, kontorer og yachter. Han er dog mest kendt for sine møbler og kan regnes blandt Italiens mest fremtrædende designere. Lissoni har designet for mærker som Kartell, Flos, Fritz Hansen, Cassina, B&B Italia, Alessi og Cappellini for blot at nævne nogle få. Lissoni har bl.a. modtaget Red Dot Award og Compasso d'Oro ADI.
